State of Matter
In this 23 minute short, I got to fully embrace the urge to create a 'meta cinema' film, along with combining everything I have learnt throughout my self education process. It all started with an idea about 4 different people who symbolically one after the other leave something in the middle of nowhere. Once I brought that vision to life during my compulsory army service in Cyprus, I felt something very odd as people I trusted with my work kept asking me what the title meant in terms of the film and what it represents. Through time I created an extension on this 10 minute film in an almost autobiographical approach to tell a story of what happens in the mind of a filmmaker who is struggling with the concept of releasing an experimental film to an unpredictable and unknown audience.

Miniature Short Film Trilogy
A Butterfly Spank a Light in a Velvet Underground
In this 2 minute short, I got to explore the world of lighting and the whole concept of building a miniature set, surrounding a simple story of a traveler coming back home. This style of film was driven by the restrictive circumstances caused by COVID-19, as I was unable to use any locations outdoors. In a way I learned how restrictions can be one of the most useful tools to manipulate in film. The music in the video is original content that I created specifically for the film.

The Ethnic Moonman
In this 3 minute short, following the restrictive circumstances of COVID-19, I made my second attempt to build a world through a miniature set while diving even deeper into the world of lighting as I attempted to build more intricate sets. I constructed a simple and considerably vague story, going through the creative train of thought of a writer, which involves an astronaut and a figure of true spiritual love. Although this is one of the weakest of my works in terms of delivering a clear narrative, it is one of the most important ones so far in terms of my development in sound design and lighting. The music in the video is original content that I specifically made for the film.

My Lovely Lea
In this 4 minute short film, further on following the restrictive circumstances of COVID-19, I combined the qualities and the lessons learned from the previous two films to give my final take on this style of film. This was the biggest and most difficult set I've had to build as of yet, consisting of original old toys provided by my father's collection. Through this, I managed to film the general traumatic scenery of war. The very thing that makes this project unique although, is its text, a real love letter (that I own) from World War II that never reached its final destination. With the narration of Melanie Steliou, the beautiful words coming from this letter and its intense contrast with the imagery of war, contribute in making this beautiful anti-war message come to life. In addition, this film was accepted at the "Veterans Film Festival" in Australia. The music in the video is original content that I specifically made for the film.

The Aisle and The Dog
In this 6 minute short, I explore the grounds of connecting narration with moving images through editing to project this little arc through the mindset of a troubled teen. The music in this video is not original content as I used the music that felt was appropriate for the aesthetic of the film as I was unable to make an original score at the time.

My Berlin
In this 6 minute short, similar to "The Aisle and the Dog", I further on progressed the idea of putting narration on top of moving images. This time I got random footage that I took on my trip in Berlin and edited it together along with music created by Nikos Diakides to create a narrative about the different stages of life about a man growing up, ranging from the age of 9 to the age of 35.

The Agonizing Journey of Acquaintance
In this 10 minute short, I dive into the world of visual storytelling. From a very personal place I brought out the part of me that is an introvert and maximised it to it's full potential to tell a symbolic parallel story of the conscious and the subconscious mind of a man who struggles to overcome his fear of the "Woman Figure". Everything in this short is original content including the score that I specifically wrote for it. Although not my best work, having no crew to back up the ambition and my lack of knowledge on sound design at the time definitely are very important factors to justify most if not all of the flaws in this short.
